Homeless Teens Get Some Help

Homeless youth in Reno are getting some much needed help from the federal government.

Yesterday the U.S. Department of Labor awarded 1.5 million dollars to a Reno nonprofit, the Children's Cabinet, that helps runaways and homeless youth get back on their feet. It's part of the Face Forward Initiative which aims to reintegrate youth into their communities after spending time in the juvenile justice system.

Nevada ranks third in the nation in poverty and 45th in child homelessness.
