Harris, Emhoff To Visit Las Vegas To Promote Relief Bill

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Vice President Kamala Harris and her husband Doug Emhoff will visit Las Vegas on Monday as part of a trip to promote the $1.9 trillion relief package that President Joe Biden signed into law Thursday.

The White House has not yet announced details about the trip. Following the stop in Nevada, Harris and Emhoff will visit Denver, Colorado on Tuesday.

Emhoff will make a solo trip to Albuquerque, New Mexico on Wednesday. The sweeping relief bill provides up to $1,400 direct payments this year to most people and extending $300 weekly emergency unemployment benefits into early September.

How is Las Vegas' healthcare system really doing, and what does it mean for you and your family? Desert Companion's Health Issue takes a deep dive into these questions and explores how heart-centered business leaders prove that doing good benefits the bottom line.
