LAS VEGAS (AP) — A 5-year-old girl who was rescued from an apartment fire in North Las Vegas is now on life support.

Karissa Armstrong, the mother of Maleyah Robinson, told the Las Vegas Review-Journal on Sunday that her daughter moves when she says her name.

North Las Vegas Fire Department firefighters responded Saturday morning to a blaze at a two-story condo belonging to Armstrong's mother. The grandmother and her boyfriend were watching the girl, her 4-year-old brother and 8-year-old sister when they smelled something burning.

The other two children were treated for smoke inhalation and the grandmother for second-degree burns. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
