The Cashman Isolation-Quarantine Complex is hiring staff to help serve the homeless.
The city of Las Vegas and Clark County said in a joint statement that they are looking for “qualified medical staff, health care para-professionals and support personnel” for the facility, which is supposed to open this week.
It will provide a place for homeless people to quarantine and receive care during the COVID-19 pandemic. A city spokesman said it is the first facility of its kind in the country.
