Health Officials Plan To Expand Coronavirus Testing

Clark County officials and health professionals plan to expand COVID-19 testing in the community.

Southern Nevada Health District Chief Health Officer Dr. Fermin Leguen says the district is striving to make testing more accessible to underserved and disadvantaged communities in southern Nevada.

"We are planning to start a testing site in North Las Vegas sometime by the end of this week," he said, "We want to make sure that testing is available to residents of the area, but as importantly, we want to make sure testing is available for the African American community in North Las Vegas who have been very affected by this condition, at a level higher than other ethnic or resident groups.”
