Henderson residents crowded the Sun City MacDonald Ranch Clubhouse Monday for a public meeting on the proposed arena that would replace the Henderson Pavilion, which has fallen into disrepair.
The 6,000 seat arena would host a new American Hockey League team affiliated with the Vegas Golden Knights, as well as concerts, graduation ceremonies and other community events.
Residents who packed three sessions at the meeting raised questions about the impact on traffic, parking, safety and community programming.
The arena, which has not yet been approved, would be funded by both the Golden Knights and the City of Henderson.
