Southern Nevada Health Officials Monitor Possible Case Of Coronavirus

Health officials in Southern Nevada are monitoring a possible case of coronavirus.

The Southern Nevada Health District announced Wednesday that it is monitoring a patient who had recently traveled to the epicenter of the epidemic in Wuhan, China.

The SNHD said the patient is being held in isolation in a local hospital awaiting the return of test results from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Health officials noted that there is no confirmation that anyone in southern Nevada has the contagious respiratory illness that has infected thousands of people, mostly in China, and led to the death of 132 people.
