Nevada GOP Congressman To Await 'Process' On Impeachment

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Nevada Republican Congressman Mark Amodei says he'll await the results of congressional investigations before deciding whether he would cast a vote to impeach President Donald Trump.

Amodei told reporters Thursday the question whether Trump violated the law should be put through "process, procedure, fact-finding and debate," and he hopes it's done quickly.

Amodei says he read a whistleblower's complaint alleging Trump abused the power of his office and solicited foreign election interference from Ukraine during a phone call in July with that country's president.

Nevada's only congressional Republican says he also read the rough transcript of Trump talking about military aid and asking the Ukranian leader to investigate Trump's Democratic presidential rival, former Vice President Joe Biden.
