Ely, Eureka Tie Records For Warmest Overnight Lows

ELKO, Nev. (AP) — The overnight temperatures at two northern Nevada airports tied the previous record for the warmest low for the date.

The National Weather Service in Elko says the temperature at Ely Airport only dropped to 60 degrees early Wednesday. That tied the record for the warmest low set in the town near the Utah line on Aug. 7, 1983.

Eureka Airport reported a low of 59 degrees, tying its record for that date set in 2012.

The high temperature Wednesday was 91 in Eureka and 87 in Ely.
