Sen.-Elect Rosen To Serve On 5 Senate Committees

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Nevada's new Sen.-elect Jacky Rosen will be serving on five U.S. Senate committees when she starts her new job in January.

The Democrat who represents a Las Vegas-area U.S. House seat defeated incumbent Republican Dean Heller in November.

Rosen announced Thursday that she'll serve on committees focusing on health, education and labor, homeland security and a special committee focused on aging.

Rosen, a former computer programmer and software consultant, will also serve on a commerce, science and transportation committee and a small business committee.
