Metro Announces Gang Member Arrests

More than two dozen violent gang members are now behind bars following an investigation that started in March and involved numerous law enforcement agencies.

Members of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Gang Crime Unit along with District Attorney Steve Wolfson held a news conference today to announce the arrests.

Metro Captain John Leon said the 29 people arrested were identified as members of the 18th Street Gang, responsible for some of the worst crimes in the community. He added some of those crimes included homicide, robbery, battery with a deadly weapon and attempted murder.
