The fate of South Lake Tahoe’s Airbnb economy and more than 1,000 vacation home rentals will be on the line when residents head to the voting booth on Tuesday.
“Measure T" aims to curb vacation home rentals in residential areas. The measure will impact close to 1,400 properties — nearly 80 percent of the city’s VHRs.
If Measure T passes, it would eliminate vacation home rentals from the city’s residential districts and restrict them to the city’s commercial districts and tourist core.
