Excessive Heat Warning In Effect For Las Vegas Valley

An excessive heat warning goes is in effect in the Las Vegas Valley as temperatures for the next three days are expected to reach between 111 and 114 degrees.  

The National Weather Service may extend the warning into Friday. 

Weekend highs are expected to drop to near 106.

Clark County has three daytime shelters available for homeless people through September 30 and ten cooling stations will be available this week throughout the Las Vegas Valley, as will two stations in Laughlin.
