NDOT Pushes Back Road Closures For EDC

Transportation officials have negotiated with organizers of the Electric Daisy Carnival to roll back some of the freeway restrictions anticipated this weekend in Las Vegas.

Both directions of U.S. Highway 95 in the area just below Interstate 15 will now close from midnight Friday to 4 a.m. Monday, reducing the previously announced closure by three hours.

The ramps connecting those freeways will remain open.

NDOT has also canceled plans to close the 95 on-ramps and off-ramps at Martin Luther King Boulevard to provide another corridor through downtown Las Vegas.

The closures are required for work on a freeway bridge as part of Project Neon.
