Kihuen Decides To Not Seek Re-election

U.S. Rep. Ruben Kihuen announced his decision to complete his term but said he will not seek re-election, despite the allegations of sexual harassment against him.

Two women have now come forward, one a former campaign staffer and one a former lobbyist while Kihuen was a Nevada state senator. The freshman congressman denied all allegations in a statement this weekend.

He said he plans to cooperate with the House of Ethics Committee’s Investigation that was launched last week. Kihuen has faced calls to resign from Democratic leadership, including house minority leader Nancy Pelosi.
