Segerblom Announces Run For County Commission

Nevada Senator Tick Segerblom is running for Clark County Commission.

The District 3 lawmaker’s office announced his candidacy Wednesday.

In a press release, Segerblom laid out some of his plans if elected, including implementing a 1-percent sales tax in Clark County, which he says will produce $400 million annually for schools.

Segerblom supports involving labor unions in local government expenditure decisions and instituting more policies to support the legal marijuana industry.

He also says the Las Vegas airport should be renamed, calling Pat McCarran a “racist bigot” and saying the name is “a slap in the face to our diverse city.”
