CSN President Announces Retirement

The College of Southern Nevada’s longtime president has announced his retirement.

Michael Richards has been president of CSN for nearly 10 years and will retire January 31. In a statement, Richards said that CSN weathered the recession with a renewed commitment to student success throughout its three campuses.

Prior to his stint at CSN, Richards’ longest position in academia was at Southern Utah University, where he served in various executive positions for 23 years. CSN faculty, staff, and students will likely be part of the process to search for a new president.
