Coroner Rules Henderson Attorney’s Death Was Not Suicide

The coroner in Las Vegas now says the death of a Henderson attorney from a lethal combination of pain pills and anti-freeze was not a suicide.

Clark County Coroner John Fudenberg said today that new evidence prompted him to change Susan Winters' cause of death to "undetermined."

That's not a homicide finding, and Fudenberg isn't saying what the new evidence is.

He says that's part of the murder case against Winters' husband, psychologist Gregory "Brent" Dennis.

Prosecutors allege that Dennis poisoned Winters.

Winters' parents hired a private investigator after her death in January 2015.

Dennis was arrested in February and charged with her murder. He's now free on $250,000 bail.

His defense lawyer, Richard Schonfeld, says the inconclusive coroner ruling just raises questions about the murder case.
