Taxicab Authority Head Resigns

The chair of the Nevada Taxicab Authority has resigned from the agency.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports Ileana Drobkin tendered her resignation earlier today.

Drobkin had been serving as the Authority's chair, but Gov. Brian Sandoval replaced her in that role earlier with Stan Olson, a former Metro lieutenant.

In her resignation letter, Drobkin said she had been thinking of leaving for a while.

She also criticized a recent audit of the Authority that recommended its dissolution, and said a more recent report commissioned by the Authority from Applied Analysis would vindicate the body.
