Average Hourly Pay In Clark County Among Lowest In Nevada

Average hourly pay in Clark County last year is among the lowest statewide at $18.99.

The Las Vegas Sun reports the statewide average was $19.28, with four counties where gold is produced ranking on the high end. Eureka topped the list at $29.47 per hour on average.

The firm Economic Modeling Specialists found Douglas, Lyon and Storey counties were on the low end, with average wages ranging from $17.75 to $18.27.

Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation data show Clark County's unemployment rate for the first month of the year was down 1 percent from January 2015.

Statewide unemployment rate data ranges from a high in Lyon County of 9.4 percent to the 5.4 percent in White Pine County.
