Board Approves $17.8 Million For New Sahara Avenue DMV Office

The state Board of Examiners approved a $17.8 million contract for the Department of Motor Vehicles yesterday. 

The Las Vegas Sun reports the money will finance new office construction for the DMV at its East Sahara Avenue site in Las Vegas. It’s the busiest DMV in the state.

Core Construction Services of Nevada won the contract.

The project was approved by the 2015 Legislature and will be financed by bonds to be repaid from the state’s highway fund and pollution-control budgets.
