Wind, Dust Advisories Through Tomorrow Morning For Las Vegas Valley

The Clark County Department of Air Quality has issued a dust advisory effective through Thursday morning as strong northwest winds could create unhealthy conditions.

Officials said they will monitor conditions and post an alert on the department’s website if conditions worsen. They’ve asked workers at construction sites to try to cut down on blowing dust, which can aggravate respiratory diseases such as bronchitis and asthma.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the Las Vegas Valley running from 9 p.m. today through 11 a.m. tomorrow, with gusts up to 50 mph expected.
