This is what the Brightline West rail cars will look like

Trains for what is being called the nation’s first true high-speed rail line between Las Vegas and the Los Angeles area will be built at a new factory in upstate New York.

Siemens Mobility will build a 300,000 square-foot facility in Horseheads, New York. The factory will create about 300 jobs and construction of the trains is expected to begin in 2026.

The trains are expected to hit speeds of 186 miles per hour on the new $12 billion passenger bullet train service — which is expected to be finished in time for the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
