The Guide

Giuseppe Verdi wrote some of the best opera tunes ever, and this concert features a few of them: full-throated solos and ensemble pieces from ever-popular works such as Rigoletto, La traviata, Aida, and Il Trovatore.

OLV General Director Jim Sohre will serve as narrator, providing context and insights into the music. Songs will be sung in the original Italian, with projected English translations.

Among the singers are two inaugural members of the Christopher and Anita Murray Opera Las Vegas Studio at UNLV, soprano Claudia Affan and tenor Christian Shelton.
