🐶 Two Clark County animal shelters are offering reduced or waived adoption fees as they look to find their residents homes for the holidays. The Animal Foundation is waiving fees for all pets through Sunday, thanks to a donation by the Hill's Nutrition Company.
Henderson's Animal Shelter Henderson has half-off adoptions for pets one year and older through Dec. 31. Available animals can be seen on their websites. In both cases, pets will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adopters will go through the usual adoption process.

🚕 Zoox is expanding its robotaxi service in Las Vegas to include T-Mobile Arena. In fact, they've been named the official ride-hailing company of the venue, it was announced today, as well as an official partner. Rides to and from the arena will begin early next year, with Zoox having a dedicated pickup and drop-off lane. Event attendees will have access to exclusive rider perks, they say. Zoox launched its driverless service in Las Vegas earlier this year, providing service to and from Resorts World, Area 15, Topgolf, New York-New York and Luxor. Rides are free for now but eventually there will be a charge.

🪩 The Las Vegas Strip production DiscoShow has its final performance on Jan. 3, according to producer Spiegelworld. The high-energy, interactive production opened in September 2024 at the LINQ hotel-casino, but ultimately suffered low ticket sales. DiscoShow bucked Strip entertainment conventions. It placed both talent and the audience on a standing-room-only LED dance floor while telling the story of disco in the 1970s. Tickets for remaining performances are on sale. Spiegelworld also produces Absinthe at Caesars Palace and Atomic Saloon Show at the Venetian.
🏇 Declaring Las Vegas a "cowboy town," dozens of riders on horseback have traditionally kicked off the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo by galloping into the arena and then lining up their horses side by side as the riders tip their hats to cheers. But an equine virus outbreak this year has loomed over one of the world's most prestigious rodeos and the threat was apparent from the start: Riders walked out during the grand entry on foot. Their horses were safely kept away with strict health precautions in place. Other riders weren't able to bring their own horses to the event at all.
🎨 Have the Las Vegas suburbs become a hotbed of contemporary art? From the vast network of neighborhood library galleries, to the hidden gems like the Rita Deanin Abbey Art Museum in northwest Las Vegas, art exhibition spaces are flecked throughout the entire Vegas valley. Add Couper Russ Studios gallery to that list. It's inside the home of artists and art professionals Matthew Couper and JK Russ. And it shows the type of work you don't see often in Las Vegas.

That's down from their previous forecast of 84%. The revised projections are the result of a below-average snowpack in the upper Colorado River Basin.
