Teenager Achieves Dream Of Year's Supply Of Chicken Nuggets

DAVID GREENE, HOST:

Good morning. I'm David Greene with an update on Carter Wilkerson. As we told you last month, the 16-year-old from Nevada sent a tweet to Wendy's asking how many re-tweets it would take to get a year's supply of chicken nuggets. Wendy's tweeted 18 million. As of yesterday, Carter was around 3.5 million, the most re-tweeted tweet in history, which was enough for Wendy's to give him those free nuggets as well as donate 100,000 bucks to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. It's MORNING EDITION. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
