Bell FamilyAmong those who helped shape Nevada's political landscape was a "man from the silver screen," Former District Attorney and longtime local attorney Rex Bell, Jr. His parents were were famed silent movie actors Rex Bell, Sr. and Clara Bow (family pictured right).

Upon coming to Las Vegas, Rex Bell, Sr. got into politics in 1954 by running for lieutenant governor and won two terms in a row. He would have run for governor had he not died of a heart attack in 1962. More in the next installment...
