Water Pact

The United States Secretary of the Interior, California Governor Gray Davis and representatives of water districts across 7 western states met Thursday at Hoover Dam to celebrate the signing of a historic water pact. In the pact, California water agencies agree to reduce consumption of Colorado River water. Acceptance of the agreement by the Department of the Interior also gives Nevada its right to use excess water from the river. KNPR's Ky Plaskon reports.
