Additional federal charges have been filed against a German-born illusionist and magician whose Las Vegas Strip show was canceled following his arrest in a child pornography investigation.
A four-count indictment filed Wednesday accuses Jan Rouven Fuechtener of receipt, distribution, advertising and possession of pornography. The charges, combined, could get him decades in prison and up to $1 million in fines.
Defense attorney Jess Marchese says Fuechtener will plead not guilty when he's arraigned April 6 in U.S. District Court.
Fuechtener performs under the name Jan Rouven.
He pleaded not guilty to an initial charge of receipt or distribution of child pornography following his arrest March 16. He remains in federal custody.
His "The New Illusions" show, which headlined at the Tropicana hotel-casino since late 2014, was shuttered following his arrest.
