Ahead of the 10th anniversary of the Dr. Shirley Linzey Young Artists Orchestra (YAO) of Las Vegas, Nevada Public Radio Managing Editor Heidi Kyser talks to Yunior Lopez — who is the orchestra's founder, executive, and music director — about how he came to music, his varied career as a violist, and why he founded YAO. Also joining them is Sachi Blevins, a local student and member of both YAO and the National Youth Orchestra.

The Dr. Shirley Linzey Young Artists Orchestra of Las Vegas is holding their 10-year anniversary concert gala on Sunday, April 13, at the Smith Center.  Find more information here
