Las Vegas has its fair share of native celebrities like Ne-Yo, The Killers, Imagine Dragons, and future celebrities are being made right now.

In October, the culture issue in our city-regional magazine, Desert Companion, will feature in Ones To Watch. These are profiles of interesting up-and-coming local artists or performers.

We’re starting this series with 23-year-old Christian Shelton.

A graduate of Las Vegas Academy and UNLV’s music program, he’s a pop and opera singer who has already carved out a niche on social media. He has more than 800,000 followers on TikTok and reached an audience of 90 million in a 2021 Super Bowl commercial.

Guests: Christian Shelton, singer; Alfonse Anderson, professor of voice, UNLV
