Republican Party mega-donor and multibillionaire Dr. Miriam Adelson has remained largely outside the political spotlight since the death of her husband, Sheldon Adelson, in January.

The couple gave millions to their favorite Republican candidates, most notably presidential candidate Donald Trump.

In recent months, though, Dr. Adelson donated $5,000 dollars to a PAC started by former South Carolina Governor, Nikki Haley. And after a weekend meeting of the Republican Jewish Coalition at the Venetian, Politico has reported Adelson is getting back into politics.

That holds the prospect of more big donations for Republicans nationally and especially in Nevada.
