The MGM is suing shooting victims, the headlines said.
And almost everyone took notice.
A casino/resort suing not just customers but victims of the horrific October 1 shooting?
There's more to it than that, though.
The lawsuit might help MGM Resorts in court. And they aren't asking victims for money. They want legal protection against the thousands who are or plan to sue.
At the same time, is it shooting itself in the foot in the court of public opinion?
