Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is in Las Vegas to attend the annual conference of the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials.

Amanda Renteria, Clinton's national political director, spoke with KNPR's State of Nevada  about immigration, jobs and other issues

Renteria is from California and the daughter of Mexican immigrants. Her job his a big one: helping Clinton fashion a platform that appeals to Hispanics in the desert Southwest. In Nevada alone, Hispanics make up 27 percent of the population.
