The State Could Lose Some Food Stamp Funding

Hundreds of needy Nevadans have been waiting more than a month for a response to applications for food stamps, or the SNAP program. The state's poor timeliness rate drew the attention of federal officials, who have threatened to take away some funding for the program if Nevada doesn't improve.
