Pedro Martinez Fires Back At Washoe School Board

Washoe County Superintendent Pedro Martinez filed a lawsuit Friday against the Washoe County School District Board of Trustees for breach of contract and violating the state's open meeting law. They fired him last week after alleging that he had lied about his professional credentials. Martinez is also speaking with officials at the Nevada Attorney General's Office.

Meanwhile, trustees on the Washoe School Board have said they didn't terminate Martinez, they simply put him on leave.

How could the lawsuits and actions in the state's attorney general's office affect his employment with the District?
