Last Friday former state Assemblyman Steven Brooks was sentenced to 32 months in prison in Victorville, California.
The charges arose from his erratic behavior on a high-speed chase the day he was expelled from the legislature. The expulsion followed a series of incidents including threats to Speaker Marilyn Kirkpatrick.
Clearly, Brooks had mental health problems.
Brooks had already served half his sentence from the California episode and the rest was suspended. Now he will be extradited to Nevada to face gun charges.
