Will Nevada Repeal Term Limits?

The voters of Nevada decided to end incumbency as they knew it in 1998 by imposing term limits. The Governor and other constitutional officers are limited to two four-year terms and no legislator or local council member may be elected for more than 12 years.

But now some legislators are calling this a "failed experiment" and will be trying to start the repeal process in the coming legislature. So why do we need to repeal term limits? And can legislators repeal the law after voters overwhelmingly endorsed it?
