School District Cuts Ties With Catapult

The Clark County School Board ended a 13-year contract with Catapult Learning -- formerly Edison Learning -- last week. The district spent $30 million dollars on a contract with the education management company over the years. But the promised results never materialized. School board members voted to end the contract over the objections of parents and teachers, who supported the Edison model. So what did the school board expect to get from Edison? And why did they decide to end the contract now?
