Lately, near the corner of North Main Street and Foremaster Lane in Downtown Las Vegas, traffic has been a mess. But while the scene may be familiar to many, the reason for the gnarled traffic is not. There’s been an influx of homeless people in the area, and many motorists are dropping off food, clothes and other items.
Meanwhile, along with the charity-driven traffic, crime and trash has increased in the area. Now, Metro Police is looking for a way to solve these problems.
So, they’re beginning a new initiative called The Giving Project. The police will designate different areas around Main and Foremaster for givers and benefactors to meet.
