The Clark County Commission approved eight members of a board to oversee the financially troubled University Medical Center. One prospective member of the board removed himself from consideration after the Review-Journal unearthed a misdemeanor conviction from 1991. But the commission approved the other candidates and may add another member next month. So how will this change the operation of UMC? And how soon will the board start meeting?
