Earlier this month, Clark County Commissioner Tom Collins rejected a compromise measure that would have raised taxes to fund the hiring of more police officers. He supported a larger tax hike. But ultimately, his vote mean that Metro left empty-handed. Now, he is trying to resurrect the tax that would be implemented in two stages. Does this measure stand a better chance of passing? And if it doesn't, would Collins vote for a compromise?
