The Clark County Commission rejected two proposals Tuesday to increase sales taxes to pay for more police officers. Sheriff Doug Gillespie had made the tax increase a centerpiece of his last year in office, arguing that Las Vegas and Clark County have fewer police officers than other cities. County Commissioner Steve Sisolak voted against both proposals. County Commissioner Susan Brager supported a compromise measure that also failed. They will join us to explain the vote.
