Today after the show, Luis Hernandez persuaded computer security expert Robert Vamosi to show us his supercool Def Con ID badge. (OK, you can't really see it in this picture, but trust us, it's cool). Even though Vamosi is a security expert himself, and is certified and everything, his badge is blue, branding him as a member of the press. Other classifications of ID badge include humans (attendees), goons (volunteers), and vendors (vendors). Vamosi said that, alas, the blue color makes it less likely that hackers will share their secrets with him.
