What Tree Rings Tell Us about Wildfires

At the University of Arizona in Tucson there is a laboratory with a massive collection of tree stumps and tree turnks and pieces of wood. The lab is known as the Laboratory of Tree Ring Research. We're going to talk with one of the researchers about how they can tell what fire seasons were like centuries ago. Hint, wildfires used to be very subtle compared to what we see today.
