Title IX: Have Women Leveled the Playing Field

Title IX is the 1972 law that prevents people from being denied educational benefits based on gender.  It helped spur the implementation of women's sports and scholarships programs.  But 40 years later, do women still get equal benefits in education?  How even is the playing field?  Female educators and coaches weigh in on the gender debate.  We want to hear from you: call us during the live program at 258-3552, or leave your comments below.

UNLV and the Women's Research Institute of Nevada, among others, host the panel discussion, " Equity in Education: Celebrating 40 Years of Title IX," on April 19, at 3 p.m., at the Carlson Education Building.
