The Las Vegas Art Museum closed in 2009 after the economy decimated the museum's budget. Now after three years the museum's new permanent home will be at UNLV. The school and museum announced the partnership in January and will host a "teaser" exhibit in the coming months. The closing of the museum in 2009 shocked many in the local arts community and was a stark example of how the economic crisis impacted cultural institutions in Las Vegas. We talk with Patrick Duffy, president of the LVAM board about the future of the museum.
