Johnson Makoba on Developing his Homeland of Uganda

Johnson Makoba's parents grew coffee, which helped them send their kids to school.  Makoba says it opened his eyes to how poor families could propel forward with the help of crops and funding.  He started a microfinance organization to help rural Ugandan women.  And he started thinking about a new idea for the redevelopment of Uganda: he calls it the "triple partnership." He says it could help Africa stand on its own feet, and reduce corruption.  Johnson Makoba shares his plan for a better Africa.
