CD2 Court Hearing

The Nevada Supreme Court on Tuesday heard oral arguments from Democrats and Republicans on the special election in Congressional District 2 to replace Dean Heller. In May Secretary of State, Ross Miller announced the race would be open to all contenders and was dubbed as the "ballot royale." A lower court judge later reversed that decision and ruled central party committees should pick the nominees. Since that decision came down Democrats chose State Treasurer, Kate Marshall as their pick and the GOP chose former state party chair, Mark Amodei as the Republican candidate. While the parties have picked nominees that doesn't mean the race won't be a "ballot royale" as Miller originally decided. Jon Ralston, host of Face to Face joins us to talk about what went down at Tuesday's hearings.
