Raising Bees in Las Vegas

The gardeners who run the "Orchard," a pet project of the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension, grow everything from peach trees to grape vines there. Now, they're trying something new: raising bees. But how do you raise bees in Las Vegas - a city that isn't exactly buzzing with hives? Is the honey profitable? And how do you watch out for disease, dangerous African bees, and colony collapse disorder? We talk to the Orchard's master gardener and with a longtime Nevada beekeeper about the bees.
